We know how important it is to take your medications on time. Our staff can provide medication reminders to keep you feeling well.
Meals
Our caregivers can assist with meal preparation in compliance with you or your loved ones dietary restrictions and preferences.
Errands Assistance
Getting out of the house for shopping, appointments, or religious services can be challenging. Our caregivers provide transportation, support, and assistance with daily errands.
Light Housekeeping
From laundry to dusting to watering plants, our staff can assist with household chores.
Respite Services
If you are your loved ones primary caregiver, let us give you a break and time to recharge. Our friendly caregivers can step in while you take some time to yourself. Whether its on a temporary or regular basis, we are here to help.
Companionship
Our caregivers engage in conversation and fun activities like crafts and card games to enhance you or your loved one's social and emotional wellbeing.
24/7 Support
Community Health Choice Waiver Process
To receive care with New Beginnings, you must qualify for the Community Health Choice (CHC) waiver. Eligibility is based on a level of care assessment and financial eligibility. We can guide you through the waiver process, ensuring you receive quality care so you can continue living independently.
CHC Waiver Process
Confirm Your Eligibility
To be eligible you must be:- A Pennsylvania resident
- A US citizen or qualified non-citizen
- 21 years of age or older
- Income and resource eligible
- Meet required level of care
Complete Assessment
You will need to complete an assessment with the PA Independent Enrollment Broker. Our team can assist you with the necessary forms, walking you through each step of the process to qualify for a CHC waiver.
Choose Your Healthcare Plan and Agency
During the enrollment process, you will be asked to choose either Keystone First Community HealthChoices (CHC) or AmeriHealth Caritas. You should also ask your case manager to assign New Beginnings Home Care, LLC as your agency.
New Beginnings is also a Supports Coordination Organization (SCO) through the Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) offering care to individuals with autism and intellectual disabilities.
ODP Waiver Application Process
Confirm Eligibility
You must be a resident of Pennsylvania and have been diagnosed with an intellectual before your 22nd birthday to qualify.
Attend Appointment
Make an appointment with your local County Office of Mental Health and Intellectual Disabilities. Be sure to take documents to the appointment establishing your eligibility.
Choose Agency
Once eligibility is determined you will be offered a choice of Supports Coordination Organizations (SCOs). At this stage, you will choose New Beginnings as your Supports Coordinator.
